Keeping our traditions alive

NCIPA Powwow - April 21 -23, 2023

Our Mission

The Northern Colorado Intertribal Pow-wow Association, Inc. celebrates our Native American heritage and helps to preserve our culture through honoring our ancestors and inspiring our youth while increasing public awareness.  We do this by sharing our values and providing educational and cultural experiences through music, dance, food, and the arts.

Our Purpose

The purposes of this organization are cultural, educational, and social enhancement of its members and the community through mutually beneficial actions to:
  • Provide a social network for Native Americans and their families.
  • Serve as an information center for creating a cultural awareness of Native Americans.
  • Promote and encourage the education of Native Americans.
  • Investigate and inform members of services and opportunities available to meet specific member and community needs.
  • Share the Native American culture with the community at large by hosting an annual contest powwow in the Northern Colorado area.

Our History

The Northern Colorado Intertribal Pow-wow Association (NCIPA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was created in the summer of 1992 to provide opportunities for the Northern Colorado communities to share and participate in Native American cultures.  Membership in NCIPA is open to any nationality, race or creed. In order to share the diverse Native American cultures with the community, we present an annual contest Pow-wow in the Fort Collins area. Each year we have attracted hundreds of visitors each day, including dancers and singers, many arts and crafts vendors, and spectators.  Since we are a non-profit organization, we rely on donations in addition to other sources of funds to support our projects.  If you would like to make a donation, click here.
